You may have noticed that it has been a long time since a report of work on the Hegybeli Style 150 has been posted. That does not mean work has stopped! It only means that yours truly got very busy with theatre organ projects and something had to give. The something was maintenance of the IETOS web site. With the completion of some of the competing projects, I have now had time to update the Joomla software that runs the site, which will make it easier to add new articles in the future.

The interior of the chamber for the Style 150 Wurlitzer has now been completed. Closing of the exterior will be deferred until after the organ is playing. The need for additional sound deadening in the chamber walls will be evaluated before the exterior wall is applied. Since the pipes always play at full volume, the ability of the walls to attenuate the sound is an important part of giving the organ a good dynamic range through the use of the swell shades to open and close the chamber.
